Block Party!
Found this on streetsblog.org and thought it was an inspiring little piece, especially given the fact Mile-End is hosting its own “block party” on Sept. 26 on St-Viateur Est between St-Laurent and De Gaspé … (note: our block party even moves as the day progresses, starting on St-Viateur in the morning, and finishing up on De Gaspé and in the field in the evening).
If you haven’t heard about our block party, here is little blurb about it (et ici).
I think this film sums it up, though … the point is to get neighbours outside, enjoying the joys of living in Mile-End, and discussing those things they’d like to see done to make this place even better.
So, come out the 26th of September … think of something you’d like to see happen in the streets, with your neighbours, and then make it happen!
