This is an interesting idea, although I am sure the app only works for NYC. Still, it seems like there is still too much for users to do in order to “give”. I think for something like this to really work the ability to share would need to be much simpler. Like one or two buttons that simply say “give” “get” or “whatever else” and then the phone and its GPS, or the phone and its camera, do all the rest.
Still, I like the idea of trying to help commuters through crowd-sourcing. Does there exist a Montréal equivalent?
